Fleet Management Services Commodity Project

Purchasing Services has launched a new Fleet Management Commodity Project that is designed to streamline the process of managing a large and decentralized vehicle fleet, leverage the University's buying power for purchase, service, repair and fuel, pursue alternate fuel vehicle opportunities, develop a new surplus vehicle disposal process, and enhance the procedure for managing vehicle registration. This project it a collaborative effort with project team representatives from School and Centers across the campus.

Business Objectives

The commodity project team will investigate and propose a new business model for managing the University's vehicle fleet including the possibility of implementing a comprehensive fleet management program that would be managed by an external business partner.
