Performance Management

Purchasing Services utilizes Balanced Scorecard performance management methodology from Actuate Performance Suite to measure the effectiveness of its annual Strategic Supply Chain, eBusiness and Economic Inclusion initiatives.

Balanced Scorecard enables Purchasing Services to establish a set of strategic performance metrics in support of its annual business objectives, provides senior management with a comprehensive view of the organization's performance during the year and an opportunity to address key business areas that may need improvement, and highlights key accomplishments by the organization. Performance management has been a critical success factor in the organization's achievements during the past decade and will be in the future as it launches its new "FY07 to FY10 - Strategic Business Plan" in July 2006.

The Purchasing Services Balanced Scorecard is used to measure staff performance against specific goals and objectives.

The performance metrics listed in the Balanced Scorecard drive the organization's pursuit of value and financial Return-on-Investment (ROI) for the institution.
