Supplier Alliances

The Purchasing Services Supply Chain Program drives collaborative, strategic relationships across the entire institution. Clearly set expectations and benefits ensure common understanding and alignment between Purchasing Services and our suppliers. Our Strategic Sourcing Managers work with supplier representatives to determine the opportunity for a Strategic Supply Chain Alliance with Penn.

A supplier's acceptance into the Supply Chain Alliance Program and on-going participation is based on an objective scorecard that rates supplier cost, delivery, responsiveness, technology, and quality. In turn, alliance suppliers are classified as "strategic preferred contract suppliers" and will have greater visibility and access within Penn.
