Purchasing Day at the Enterprise Center
The University Purchasing Initiative, a collaborative effort between
Purchasing Services,
Drexel University
Procurement Services, and the
Pennsylvania Minority Business Enterprise
Center (PA MBEC), is designed to increase interaction between suppliers and
University purchasing representatives. Since its inception in July 2006, the University
Purchasing Initiative has been expanded to other members of the
Philadelphia Area Collegiate Cooperative (PACC).
One of the components of the University Purchasing Initiative is "Purchasing Day
at the Enterprise Center".
Hosted by the Enterprise
Center in West Philadelphia and sponsored by PA MBEC, the Purchasing Day event provides
diversity suppliers with an opportunity to meet decision makers from local University
purchasing departments. An informal setting allows potential buyers and sellers to meet,
discuss business opportunities, review supplier capabilities and buyer requirements,
and develop action plans for future business relationships.
