Mail Services
Mail Services,
a Supply Management business partner since July 1, 2007, is responsible
for processing all campus intramural mail and all outgoing mail including First Class,
Bulk, Priority, Air, Non-Profit mail and express mail services. Managing mail,
fulfillment and logistics supplier business relationships is performed in conjunction
with the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Project initiative with
Purchasing Services and the
Office of the
Comptroller.
Mail Services and Purchasing Services are collaborating on a new
Express Mail Commodity
Enhancement Project that is designed to reengineer the way express mail services
are provided to Penn faculty and staff. This project is the result of a collaborative
supply management initiative that leverages the combined resources, experience, and
capabilities of both organizations. As a member of the supply management organization,
Mail Services will also be exploring the possibility of expanding its capabilities to
a broader set of fulfillment and logistics services in collaboration with Purchasing
Services.
