New Features in the Penn Marketplace Effective July 30, 2007

Purchasing Services is pleased to announce the availability of additional product features in the Penn Marketplace effective Monday, July 30, 2007. All BEN Buys system users will notice the following changes.

Enhanced Search Results for Punch-out Suppliers

New Section for Supplier Search Results

Today, when users enter search criteria in the "Product Search" box either in the single search field or in the product description fields, the results are displayed to the left of the product search box.

In addition to those results being displayed, punch-out suppliers who provide the product that was inputted into your search will now be displayed below the product search box in a new section marked as "Suppliers with Matches". This functionality enables BEN Buys users to see which suppliers from both hosted content suppliers and punch-out suppliers provide that particular product or service. Once the search is completed, the BEN Buys user can choose from the hosted catalog or proceed to the supplier's punch-out ordering site by clicking on the supplier name.

Miscellaneous Enhancements

Fully Collapsible Search Filters

Another enhancement is the collapsible product search box. Once the BEN Buys user has performed a product search, they will see a search box that is fully collapsed. The user can click on "Expand to Refine Search" to expand, refine the search and view the punch-out icons. This feature will give users more product information on the page from the search results.

New Supplier Search Options with Browse by Supplier

BEN Buys users now have the ability to search for suppliers by entering the first few letters of their supplier name by using the "Supplier Name Starts with" field. Alternatively, users can use the "Supplier Information" field to search for suppliers using the BEN Financials supplier number.
