New Penn Marketplace Functionality Effective November 15, 2004

Purchasing Services is pleased to announce the availability of new Penn Marketplace functionality effective Monday, November 15, 2004. Authorized BEN Buys system users will notice enhanced Diverse Supplier classification icons and an enhanced web site.

Functionality enhancements to the marketplace include:

• New Diversity Supplier Classifications: Purchasing Services, in collaboration with Austin Tetra, will classify diverse suppliers in the Penn Marketplace with the new icons listed below. These new classifications will be visible upon selection of products from diversity suppliers in the marketplace.

  	Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise
  	Disabled Business Enterprise
  	Minority Business Enterprise
  	Small Business Enterprise
  	Veteran Owned Business Enterprise
  	Women Owned Business Enterprise

  
  

• Enhanced Home Page: The Penn Marketplace Home Page will be enhanced with a question mark icon (?) next to the Organizational Message, System Messages, and My Resources, which when clicked on, will provide additional information about those areas on the page.
