Supplier Relationship Management

As delegated by the University's Chief Procurement Officer, only the Director of Purchasing Services and the Strategic Sourcing Managers have the authority and responsibility to:

  • Establish and manage on-going business relationships with external suppliers listed in the BEN Buys approved supplier database;
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions, and execute all contracts for purchases of products and services;
  • Negotiate and award a supplier discount pricing agreement for products and services required by University faculty and staff;
  • Determine and recommend, in conjunction with the Vice President for Finance and Treasurer, the potential benefits offered by an equipment lease as compared to the purchase of equipment;
  • Respond to all external audit findings or agency inquiries concerning procurement and disbursement policies and procedures.

Please direct all questions regarding supplier relationship management to Ralph Maier in Purchasing Services.
