The University's Exclusive Strategic Business Partner for
Office Products in Collaboration with Telrose Corporation
Office Depot,
the University's exclusive office products business partner in collaboration with
Telrose Corporation, is a preferred contract supplier.
Office Depot, one of the largest office products distributors in the country,
has been the University's sole source office products contract supplier since
January 2, 2004. In March of 2008, Purchasing Services and Office Depot collaborated
to transition ownership of the office products contract to Telrose Corporation,
a West Philadelphia based and diversity owned supplier. Office Depot is continuing
as a strategic alliance partner to Penn and subcontractor to Telrose Corporation
for the contract with Penn. This is not a pass-through partnership with Telrose
Corporation; Telrose Corporation is a full service contract supplier to Penn,
providing sales and customer support staff, delivery of all shipments, management
of the procure-to-pay process through the
Penn Marketplace, and electronic
invoicing and receivables through our EDI relationship with
Global Exchange
Services (GSX).
Office Depot will continue to work with Telrose Corporation and Penn to sponsor a
"Faculty, Staff, and Student Personal Purchase
Program", "Office Products Customer Advisory Committee,"
School and Center specific "Lunch &
Learn" sessions, and Penn specific
Office Depot promotions
through the Supplier Showcase.
Office Depot is also a supporter of the Penn Relays, the University's nationally
recognized track and field event and contributes to numerous community related
events and organizations.
About the Contract
The Office Depot contract is the result of a
collaborative buying
initiative involving the
Philadelphia Area Collegiate Cooperative (PACC)
with a diversity supplier partnership designed specifically for Penn's business
requirements. Following the implementation of the supplier diversity partnership
at Penn, other members of PACC will implement their version of the
diversity supplier partnership with Telrose Corporation.
Commitment to Green Purchasing
As a University preferred contract supplier, Office Depot supports Penn's
Green Purchasing
initiatives in partnership with Telrose Corporation.
