A University Strategic Alliance Partner for Computer Products
Dell Computer, an information-technology supplier
and partner that offers a comprehensive portfolio of computing products and services, is the
University sole source strategic contract supplier of Dell personal computers and related products
and a Penn Marketplace participating supplier. In a strategic
business partnership with Penn, the Dell direct business model allows Dell to build every system to
order and offer Penn customers powerful, richly-configured systems.
About the Contract
The Dell strategic supplier contract is the result of a formally negotiated partnership between the
University and Dell. The negotiated contract pricing available to faculty and staff has been
benchmarked as best-in-class pricing in higher education. The University has realized significant
product cost savings resulting from computer purchases from Dell.
Ordering Information
Authorized BEN Buys requisitioners can select Penn specific laptop and desktop PC configurations
in the Penn Marketplace directly from Dell under the terms of this new partnership relationship.
The Penn specific configurations meet or exceed
Information Systems & Computing
(ISC) desktop
computer recommendations. The Penn specific contract pricing for these systems reflect a
substantial educational discount off of Dell's standard pricing.
