Promega Corporation

A University Preferred Contract Manufacturer

Purchasing Services is pleased to announce the availability of a new discount pricing agreement with Promega Corporation resulting from a new and innovative strategic sourcing strategy with our high volume manufacturers. Enablement of the Promega Corporation online product catalog in the Penn Marketplace effective January 7, 2007 is the result of an innovative manufacturer contracting and enablement initiative that is designed to leverage manufacturer specific spend, increase utilization of the Penn Marketplace, and support the contractual relationship with our preferred contract suppliers.

All Promega products are available under a new manufacturer direct discount pricing agreement that includes a distribution agreement with Fisher Scientific. All Promega products will be supplied through a sole source distributor relationship with Fisher Scientific, Penn's prime strategic preferred contract supplier of research products.

Consolidation of distribution channels will further streamline the ordering process and reduce time consuming and costly paper invoice and check processing in Accounts Payable.
