About Us

At the University of Pennsylvania, the work of Purchasing Services and the resolve of our senior leadership to place supply management on the leading edge of Penn's cost containment efforts enable us to leverage our annual buying power and strategically impact the institution's bottom line.

Penn P2P Purchasing Services, and its supply business partners under the auspices of the University's Division of Business Services, manages the University's procure-to-pay process and over $1 billion of annual purchases of construction, equipment, supplies, travel, print and design, and service requirements.

Purchasing Services is committed to ensuring that our supply chain initiatives and supplier partners meet the unique needs of the faculty and staff we serve. We partner with suppliers in many product categories, from multi-national corporations to small locally based businesses. Maintaining a diverse mix of qualified suppliers is the key to our success. We rely on our suppliers to provide the products and services our customers want and expect.

Our supply chain accomplishments are recognized in the industry and result in prestige for Penn. This commitment to procurement excellence and a cost effective supply chain fulfills a primary directive of our Mission: "to steward the resources entrusted to us."
